The Great Back Yard Build- Part One

Mr Colin Tucker has come to our house to see our back yard  fence. Because of the stones be behind the back yard fence. Its Thursday morning the builders get with one big job. They need to dig 32 holes, they also need wood, tools, earmuffs, concrete.

Summerland Primary has just had it Celerbration Of Excellence. My Mum knew I was getting a classn award but Mum didn't know which one. Anawhata teachers may come up and give out the award. Hey Blogger fans its Dylan here. Season 3 hits my  blog now. Get ready to here about Wrestling and School. What out for my first Season 3 Blog.

Gala

Summerland Primary has just had its gala. Their were games, activities, food and books for sale. Me and a group of kids helped set up the gala, we put up tables, tents, we pulled out BBQS and we got drinks to put in a container to sell drinks with ice
. Then we put out fences for a golf game. After we did that for the hole day about 2:55 we came back to class. Went home got changed had afternoon tea came straight back so my mum could help. I brought sherbit, played the golf game 5 times, looked after my brother and played other games. Plus! I got a free Drink and sausage how good is that?

Science RULES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

At school Room 17 has been doing Science. One of our activities it hard and soft water.
You Need:
Bottles-2 Clear ones
Dishwashing Liqud
Epsom Salt
2 cups of water.

1. Put two cups of water in to each bottle.
2. Put Epsom Salt into one bottle.
3. Now put dishwashing liqud in both bottles.
4. Shake see the differrents. One can shake the other on you can but you can't feel anything

Athletics Day

We have just done Athletics at the Trust stadium. The Activities were High Jump, Long Jump, Discus, Shot Put, 100 metre Sprints and Relays. If you wanted to do 400 metres for eight year olds and 800 metres for 9 and 10 year olds. The Hardest was High and Long Jump.  I came first in Discus and third in 800 metres. This tuesday I'm going to cluster athletics for Discus. I sure hope its Fun!

Fire Wise Day

Today Anawhata All Stars Had some Firefighters come in and talk about fire safety. Two of the firefighters names were Chief Jim and Glen Eden FireFighter Andrew.  Now Andrew is working at Henderson. Now this is the Henderson Fire Station. They are the day shift team. Their are different color's like blue, red, brown and green. We did a some activities like telling a story, answering questions, asking questions and watching a movie.


The best part was having a turn on the fire truck hose. Let me tell you about that. After the activities room 17 went down with the rest of Anawhata to see the fire truck. Rm 20 and19 got a tour around one side of the fire truck and Rm 18 and 17 got a tour on one side. Then we all lined up to have turn on the fire hose then after every on got a turn on the fire hose. Plus the Anawhata Teachers got turn on the hose. Jim the day time Chief Jim showed Anawhata the fire hose on top of the fire truck. It was time for the Firefighters to with Big-Red the fire truck. A big thanks to the Firefighters and The Anawhata teachers. Thank!

Pirate Discovery Time Arrh!

"Pirate Discovery time I cant Believe it" is what I said. It all got started  when we got a piece of  paper. The sheet said 1. Find out   your pirate name. 2.  Make a pirate ship 3. look like a pirate 4. Sound like a pirate 5. Make a treasure map. Once we had finished our activities  we
got our pirate licence. The first activity I did was look for my pirate name.  My  pirate name is "Doormat" Fritz Slaughter. The next activity was make a boat. It took me about ten minutes because I couldn't get the box to get in to shape that I wanted , but I did.  .


I made the treasure map which was pretty cool it had water, trees, an Island and it even had a dock. For  this task we had to draw a map with Black crayon, then scrunch up the paper and dye it to make it look old. The next task to look like a pirate  was the hardest because you had to make a hat and an eye patch. First I had to cut out the hat and the lines that kept the hat together. I got the stapler, to stick the to lines to make the pirate hat stay on my head. Now I had to  find an eye patch and I did find one on the floor. When I cut the eyepatch out it had  spikes around it . I got some string, then put holes in the eye patch to make it stay on, so I put the string in the hole and it was done.


Now its time to find my pirate words.Dead mans chest means coffin and I can't really rember any other words. Then we had to go and tell Miss Huges. After that Mrs Edwards-Knauf took our photo to prove that we were pirates. Then it was time to tidy up and go to morning tea .          

THE Melbourne Storm

My favourite Rugby League team is the Melbourne Storm.  Let me me tell you all the N.R.L teams the the Storm have beaten. The Warriors, Sea Eagles, Dragons, Titans, Cowboys, Roosters, Panthers, Knights, Raiders, Sharks, Broncos, Westigers, Bulldogs, Eels and the Rabbitohs. The Storm are 2007 and 2009 Premiers.
Billy Slater, Greg Inglis, Cooper Cronk and Cameron Smith. All but one of the stars can stay. Who has to go?
Well it is Greg Inglis. The centre has been forced to leave the Storm because of the salary cap.
What is the salary cap you ask? Well I'll tell you.  Players can only be payed up to One Million Dollars but each team has only got  One Million to spend.  So they have to be very careful about who they buy.
The Storm is 3.7million dollars over the salary cap.
I am really angry that they did it because they had to let one of their stars go and the team won't be the same next year.
