Fire Wise Day

Today Anawhata All Stars Had some Firefighters come in and talk about fire safety. Two of the firefighters names were Chief Jim and Glen Eden FireFighter Andrew.  Now Andrew is working at Henderson. Now this is the Henderson Fire Station. They are the day shift team. Their are different color's like blue, red, brown and green. We did a some activities like telling a story, answering questions, asking questions and watching a movie.


The best part was having a turn on the fire truck hose. Let me tell you about that. After the activities room 17 went down with the rest of Anawhata to see the fire truck. Rm 20 and19 got a tour around one side of the fire truck and Rm 18 and 17 got a tour on one side. Then we all lined up to have turn on the fire hose then after every on got a turn on the fire hose. Plus the Anawhata Teachers got turn on the hose. Jim the day time Chief Jim showed Anawhata the fire hose on top of the fire truck. It was time for the Firefighters to with Big-Red the fire truck. A big thanks to the Firefighters and The Anawhata teachers. Thank!
